Compensation for pet's death Idea
I think the more logical suggestion would be the F2 mechanic changing to allow the ranger to res the pet like before once it is dead. I’m not thoroughly convinced it would get much use to warrant the resources as opposed to coming up with an actual solution for ranger’s class mechanic against AoE spam.
I don’t see a real use for that, personally.
I still think the best idea so far is, if your pet is on cooldown you get a 10% damage increase. That goes away with a pet swap, or natural revive. It compensates for the dps loss of your dead pet, as well as makes up for losing your “f” abilities.
10% damage is nothing special but if you transformed into the pet with 100% of normal damages would you consider it?
edit:
This reason I started this new F skill is in order to be able to use your F2 skill if needed after your pet dies.
Just please NO, are Rangers that desperate !

Man I completely forgot they too away the ability to rest pets due to a reason so stupid it makes the shortbow nerf reasons look sane.
emm why not make the f2 skill works for the hunter?
for example spider’s f2: your pet’s next three attacks cause poison.
with a dead pet; f2: your next 3 attacks (ranger) cause poison.
wolf (dead) f2: cause fear around the hunter
drakes (dead) f2: cause a fire/frost/light/poison burst around the ranger and deal burning/chill/confusion/poison
this will make all more interesting… and really usefull to send our pet like a kamikazer
