Condi build for group play?
If you want to go for group support I’d suggest traiting into spirits and running Sun spirit with Frost. Spotter trait can also help.
I disagree with your comment on Krait runes being bad due to Elites having a large CD.
Elite skills aren’t something you should be spamming, it’s usually saved, especially if you’re running Entangle. Which, from experience I can say is amazing with Krait runes.
CD on Entangle should have ended or close to it by the time it’s needed again. If he group is relying on your Elite theirs something wrong.
Trait is also available for reduce CD on Survival skills, which again is amazing
I think you’re going to be disappointed running a condi build in a zerker meta. Your condis don’t have preference over anyone elses, and all professions randomly poop out condis left and right. Not to mention many things will be dead before your condis could have even taken affect.
I think what you may actually be looking for is party support using utilities, such as Stone Spirit (let’s say you drew a group of 3 thieves and a mesmer, you may want Stone Spirit.) Axe reflects, firefields, even weakness… there are all sort of opportunities depending on the fight. Clever use of utilities in fractals will let you help your party out without immediately starting out down ~20% of their damage.
Experiment with Runes of Balthazar and Koi Cake food if you want more burning uptime. With 100% burning duration, your bonfire’s damage doubles since conditions only damage on the second. This way you can keep perma burn on an enemy, or just make it more painful for anyone caught in your entangle that wasted all their condition removal already.
Here is a condition build I use in WvW that maximizes burning, bleeding, and poison (It lacks group support and exchanges all survival for more damage, so its probably not what you are looking for) :::
