So I saw this build posted:

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/PvE-WvW-Bleed-druid/

And I really liked it, but I wanted the beef up the healing ability.

(I am a PVE only player, so keep that in mind. basically wanting to do lots of condi damage and healing my party.)

So I was looking at some other stat blocks, since rabid doesn’t offer any healing power.

Tragic recommended a mix of Cleric/Magi for a healing druid. Awesome, totally makes sense.

For conditions and healing, I’m thinking a mix of Settler and Shaman, or just going full celestial.

(this is the early stages of the idea, and we don’t have a centralized place for druid builds, so I’m stuck bothering you guys.)

Any thoughts? I could use some suggestions for this one.

Or would celestial be a better way to go?

Shaman/apothecary maybe

I’d stick to apothecary, too.
The only downside is that it might drag aggro because of toughness.

So for condi druid I’d probably advise a mix of Apothecary and Viper. (you don’t want full healing power to avoid healing everyone to full health at all times – you’ll have trouble filling Astral Bar with healing spring – and that might lead you to problems not having CAF on cooldown).

So use Viper gear, and Apothecary rings and accessories (which you can’t get Viper for anyway)?

Also, any suggestion on runes, since those tend to impact stats as well?

Depends.
As a condi Druid you want to avoid using staff – so you’ll be using Trapper’s Expertise (with healing spring for AoE regen to fill the bar) instead of Sharpened Edges – you don’t need precision since it won’t really increase your damage.

That being said – toughness is one of your best partners.
Naturally – this may pose a problem in raids where you might beat your tank in toughness which would destroy the setup.
You want to get below your tank’s toughness value and that’s all there is to it.

Which pieces to trade for Viper – that’s basically up to you.
I’d definitely recommend throwing both Axe and Torch as Viper weapons.

Yeah, I was gonna make any weapons that used conditions (axe/torch of course) Viper. Not sure on what to use for a second weapon.

Why not staff? too much healing at that point? Or the fact that it doesn’t have conditions on it?

If there’s a preexisting build out there along these lines let me know. The above linked one is just my current baseline to work from, but I’m open to other ideas.

I think a condi build can use sharpened edges/precision/staff but if you don’t want to and prefer the trap route id either go:

axe/torch, staff & porcine pet
or
axe/torch, sword/torch

there is no way around the fact that torch/quick draw is strong and having a movement skill is always good, certainly on a glass build.

Because condition ranger only makes sense with constantly getting Bonfire Quickdraw rotation. Without that, condition ranger is dead.

And since you can fill the bar with healing Spring alone – why bother with staff. I was lazy so the stats are from PvP – just paste the ideas discussed there.
Staff is not really a healing weapon. It’s an Astral Bar filling utility weapon.

It might look something like this.

I’ve seen people do this on builds before, but I don’t know why this is done. Why only offhand on one, and only a mainhand on the other?

It’s an equivalent of having Axe+Torch on both setups.
This is just the way to preserve money since you don’t need 4 weapons but 2 only.

If you have an empty 1h slot on 1 weapon set and it’s filled on the other set – it will count for both of them.

You want Axe+Torch at all times but you want to proc traits (and sigils) from weapon swap, especially Quick Draw.

Neat trick. Ok thanks for the advice. I’ll run around with this for a while and see how I like it before spending the insane amount of money needed to craft Viper gear.
