Salutations rangers! I have a quick question. The Trait that removes conditions, How many does it remove and how often?
the next question when you also equip the signet that removes one every 10 seconds does the removal go on the same timer? or is it possible to spread em out so there is some removal every 5 sec or so?
i was thinking if i have the trait on and wait for it to remove the conditions, then count to 5 and equip the signet would that do the trick, or am i WAY over thinking this?
Also, in regards to weapons and evades, On my Condi-gen313 build i run S/D A/T
would it be wiser to change it to S/T A/D to get some evade on both sets?

See, i thought of that. how does the torch ability mesh with sword? i guess the fire field would be nice eh.
and in regards to the signet and trait? how much does it remove and are you able to space it out to tick every 5 sec?
The better question would be something to ask yourself. How often do you swap your weapons, and which one do you find yourself using more?
Using this weapon combo allows you to spread out unique conditions more and keep the damage more consistant all the while giving you evades on both weapon sets and the abilities from weapon swapping sigils. The importance of keeping numerous unique conditions rather than just stacking longer durations (or more stacks) of particular types (something emphasized by using sword/dagger and axe/torch) cannot be understated. It is very easy to purge a condition or two. Purging conditions when they are constant, and when there are five or more on at a time, is impossible and just destroys anyone you fight.
Also, if they do purge conditions, you aren’t suddenly finding yourself standing around while they wail on you. Chances are that they still have other conditions on them, and you can use this to keep them on the defensive or playing desperately to knock you down faster (both of which make killing people easier with such a weaponset). If you stack conditions all at once like axe/torch and sword/dagger does, you run the risk of having them purge all your hard work and forcing you into a weaponswap while you wait on cooldowns.
Axe/Torch – bleed, burning, chill, vulnerability (no evade)
Sword/Dagger – cripple, lots of poison, bleed (three evades, one closer)
Sword/Dagger is highly defensive but does little damage. If you get stuck playing defensive with a condition build, while this will keep you alive for a while, it is really tough to get back into a position to swap back to the purely offensive Axe/Torch.
Sword/Torch – cripple, poison, burning, fire aura (two evades, one closer)
Axe/Dagger – lots of bleeds, chill, vulnerability, poison, cripple (one evade)
Hopefully seeing this helps to explain a bit more why I would strongly recommend using S/T and A/D instead of S/D and A/T.

They don’t space out to once every 5 seconds. It’s 4 conditions knocked off at 10s intervals. The countdown starts the moment you enter combat and continues until you leave.
The trait removes three, the signet removes one.
You can’t equip the signet after the trait starts taking effect because it only is effective during combat. You can’t swap skills in combat ;(

im aware you cant swap skills in combat, i thought that maybe you could time the active on the signet to change the interval…but im always over thinking lol
and you are so right about S/D being defensive…i fought a thief lastnight for 15 min and we couldnt get eachother below 50%….but 3 times a second person jumped in and i broke off, killed them and went back to the thief. It was one of my prouder wvw moments…but it showed a flaw in the build that if youre forced to stay in s/d you better pray the other guy poops the sheets or disconnects or the fight will last forever…
In PvP if you put SoR on your bar at 5 sec till match starts the condi removal will be 1 every 5 seconds, then 3, then repeat. Instead of the 4 every 10 seconds. This could be done in other parts of the game if you get a condi on you, wait for it to be cleared and once its cleared get out of combat in the next 5 seconds and put on the signet.

I’m not sure if it will reset once you relog or something. I just KNOW the pvp method works, though I have not tested if it must be reset every match.
Well a little update on my trying to space out the condi removal by popping the signet.
It worked on one rotation then seemed to match itself up with the trait so they both popped every ten seconds.
Also, i tried switching my weapons around to S/T A/D and i just couldnt do it. it felt so unnatural that within a couple hours i spend Another 3g on sigils to go back to the original wep position.,
all in all a great night of testing! wish it ended up a bit better.
