I was fighting a ranger using s/d + a/t who was very tanky due to spring regen and able to dish out a lot of conditions. I assume he was using the bm tanky 30/10/30 traits. I want to try this out myself on my ranger. Anyone know what kind of gear I should get for armor/jewels/weps to maximize healing and condition dmg? Would this be a viable build in w3? It definitely looked good in spvp!

Also what kind of dmg synergizes better with a HS/healing power type build, condition or direct dmg? Thanks in advance

Apothecary gear is definetely the besy for this type of build. (Healing, conditon damage, toughness). Its extremely expensive though so unless you can afford to dish out a couple hundred gold, mix and match with cleric’s and rabid or carrion.
Or just go with full clerics or soldiers armour anf clerics trinckets. Direct damage can be almost as good as conditions with this kind of tanky/healing and beastmaster build.

For solo roaming those are the best weapon sets to use imo. If you are running with a zerg you might want to switch to shortbow for seige and keep defense.
Its mostly personal preference for your playstyle though..just make sure you have at least a sword and a torch on either of the weapon sets. (Or together, if youre using shortbow)

Very good 1vX in small manning

Get to a keep and switch over to the Guard/Sickem/QZ abilities and send your Jaguar pet over the walls to kill people. Watch my Natures Ninja videos for example.

Runes Undead would fine, I’m currently working on getting Superior Rune of Nightmare though.

Sigils, as condition build, Superior Sigil of Geomancy and Superior Sigil of Corruption on both weapon sets.

Why is apothecary gear synergising with ranger builds. Is it reliant on specific traits being used and or abilities? If so which? Excuse my lack of understanding, still trying to figure out my ranger.

Toughness => You don’t get killed by everyone and their grandmother in 1 second
Healing power => Works good for ranger because we have multiple sources of healing that can run at the same time so combined with toughness works better than vitality ( at least for me )
Condition damage => It’s not as high as it can get, but still very reasonable and for me conditions are better than direct damage for ranger

I’ll be mix and matching cleric and carrion trinkets I guess.

Is Healing Spring the best heal to use with HP gear? I also noticed that you don’t know condition duration without nightmare runes. Has anyone tried switching out undead runes for condition duration runes? Maybe I can stick with undead and get duration from food buffs
