Does condition damage stat meet a point when it gives you no more benefit or have diminishing returns ?

i read somewhere that going from 1300 in condition dmg to 1400 had a really minimum benefit.
So I keep mine on 1300, and make power instead.

just did a few test with short bow

bleed
zero = 43 tick
300 = 58 tick = .050 per point
1133 = 99 tick = .0494
1267 = 106 tick = .0497
1377 = 111 tick = .0493
1442 = 115 tick = .0499
1552 = 120 tick = .0496

poison
zero = 84 tick
300 = 114 tick = .1000 per point
1133 = 197 tick = .0997
1267 = 211 tick = .1002
1377 = 222 tick = .1002
1442 = 228 tick = .0998
1552 = 239 tick = .0998

if my math is right. z = base damage / d = current damage / c = condition bonus

(d-z)/c = increase per point of condition

so it doesn’t look like there are any diminishing returns. think the only reason there are very slight differences is because of were they may round up or down.

Wisdom is the reward for surviving our own stupidity.

Thanks for that, maybe some mobs have a limit to a maximum tic they can have, im going to have a try around as well it just seems that over 1200 i dont get no benefit

I don’t think you can make a character in this game that can utterly destroy another class in the way you can in a gear grind-based game such as WoW or Rift.

You can be significantly more powerful, but not so powerful that your skill no longer matters. Because the cost of that power is a weakness somewhere else.

Thieves have a burst advantage, but they are also limited in tournament PvP where other people know what they are doing and where the match is about capping and holding points, not just road-killing in uncontested areas.

Thanks for the test results. It is valuable to know that it is not worth giving up other stats for raising condition damage another 10 pts per tick on an opponent with 20,000 or more health, for example.
