i was thinking about how could get condition damage and damage at the same time utilizing on crit sigils to make a well rounded class for wvw. What do you think? it seems good with a ~50% crit chance, ~2k damage and 750 condi damage.

I don’t much like full DPS builds, but for thise who do, this looks great. I would say though that for hybrid builds that the SB really is a go-to weapon. It’s damage, bleed application and fast attack speed (letting it proc Sharpened Edges more often, since theres no CD on it) really make it a monster.

Also without Sword or GS, you may sturggle to survive in a full DPS build (or at least I would)

Ive been giving main hand axe a good try lately, dont forget that it can bounce 3 times (usually does in anything but 1-1), so thats 3 opportunities for sharpened edges per toss.

Oh yeah, it can be done and it’s a lot of fun. Here’s the build post. I came up with a nice build that utilizes raw damage and condi damage in one package. But you’ll need Celestial trinkets to get that right mix.

Definitely tweak it to your liking.

This^

1. Well balanced dmg/crit/condition dmg
2. 2k7 armor -> shortbow, 2k8 melee
3. Lots of bleeds because of horn #4 + fury (with a passive 47-49% crit), add also shortbow. Note: viper’s nest can crit, therefore adding potential bleeds stacks.
4. 2 finisher while melee for HS.
5. Really good mobility.
6. Conditions cleanse (empatic bond).
7. Small burst with sigil of fire.
8. Almost perma-fury/swiftness in combat. (can’t confirm its perma fury/swiftness).
9. 19-20k health without the guard stacks…

I think thats a good build. Take wathever you want for consumables.

Cons:
1. might not be able to 1vsX
2. use trap (depend personnal taste).
3. DOES NOT USE LONGBOW
4. need good profiency with sword.

I can tell you from experience …both using something like this and facing something like this. First thing out of my mouth when I got melted by a Ranger like this was WTF just happened.

It is likely right what someone said earlier…1v1 is iffy. I agree if they know what is coming, you could have a problem. If they don’t though …well, it is shock and awe all over them.

You can compare it to a baseball bat to the face. In the same line of thought as Forzani: if they see your namby pamby ranger prancing around in its ballerina shoes looking like it’s scared to break its nice little nails while carrying that baseball bat, they may not think twice about just running in with the intention of unsolicited funtime at your expense and then not calling the next day. All you need to do is rip off that skirt and show them your manliness as that bat lodges itself in their horrified faces (or overjoyed… I won’t judge). Easy easy.

Just be careful if they decide to duck… you’re a bit top heavy.
