Crafting Ascended armor.... what stats?
I would craft zerk gear as its the most useful in the most situations, as you said stats can be adjusted with trinkets.
Zealots with Crusader trinkets for WvW is the most optimal for that play style , ranger druids in wvw are mid to back line anyway.
so using a LB/GS with marksmanship/beastmastery/druid provides more than enough Aoe Regen + damage vun from fury triggers on clarions bond + tiger f2 ect from team mates too evey AA or skill you use should have the Remorsless trait triggering.
build example below:

you can add more healing power but i;d say going upto 800 healing power max is all you;ll needed.
there is one Cavalier gear piece as its best suited for WvW druids as they will get focused FAST (so don’t use Pure zerker)
the mixture of stats provides great damage when you include the damage bonuses and grace of land bonuses , the amount of people nearby should give you plenty of Asteral energy and you have 2x stun breaks with 2x taunts for defence you can then even use Gs to counter after a taunt with Block kite away for Swap>maul for a high damage as it will Auto crit 4 times , once for the remorsless then 3 more times due to the sigil then after that every 1 in 3 AA’s should crit and apply Vun due to two-hanned training.
the total damage boost for this build is 60% damage for full grace of land stacks with the 25 vun plus the additional 25% damage from remorsless on opening strikes , you could change Moment of clairty for Steady focus but the extra daze time is More than worth it , when using Luna impact on a dive into a zerg daze them up Swap out Use barrage>RF and AA untill needed or stay in CA form to keep healing while you obsorb the incomming first wave of damage always hits the hardest.
this build is the optimal Zerg druid.
if you want more Health to tie you over you can just change the Amulet to Minsterals for the same stats but added vitality , if thats not enough change the backpiece to Valkyrie.
the key to playing druid in WvW , no matter how many people there are if you can’t heal/support those near you they will die and you’ll be the last one standing .
its better to do the role of a druid that is to damage + support at the same time through Buffs + healing even if that healing is only at 500-800 healing on a Druids CA for using the AA 10 times that 150 point difference ADDS up a lot to like 800-1.5k per CA skill after mender stacks.

Sounds good! I will try this build!
What about rune of the druid with this build? (for higher burst healing) or will I lose to much DPS?

It’s difficult to shove 1 armor set into every possible role, but I definitely agree with prophet berserker’s is the closest.
I’d also like to ask who do you play those with.
If you are pugging – take Berserkers and adjust roles with trinkets. If nothing else – this would save you from so much whining and snaptalking in PvE that it’s worth thinking about.
If you are playing PvE with guildies who just want to get difficult content done without wiping and needless hussle – I’d recommend crafting Zealot, too.
Regarding ranger it really just settles down to what you want to do. You are there for supporting anyways. If you are just squeezing everything into that tiny bit of personal DPS, that’s perfectly fine as well as GotL distribution as much as possible – the outcome goes roughly the same with Zealots.

This wiki page breaks down stat points for each piece of gear aswell as by grouping (weapons/armor/trinkets).
Just comparing zealot vs berserker armor, its 315 healing power vs 21% crit dmg.
Another option to consider is making the staff not berserker or zealots, but instead make it cleric (healing/power/toughness) or magi (healing/precision/vita). It gives you a defensive option when switching to staff but also 251 healing power on a more sensible piece of gear instead of on (lol)longbow.
I did settler staff on swap cause I wanted toughness main stat for my glass rampager build. It comes with healing power and condition dmg as secondary. I don’t regret the choice.

Hiya Hans.
I think both zealot’s and berserker are viable in all 4 gametypes you mentioned, except for fractals and raids where it comes down to a difference.
- Raids: Berserker Druids are not popular in raids. I think you’ll have a hard time pugging raids in berserker armor, even though you’re full out dps. Zealot’s will be different since you will become the healer, especially if you mix in some magi/cleric trinkets, that is a popular build.
- Fractals: In fractals I believe it’s the other way around. You want to have as much damage as possible, which is berserker (or viper’s, but not going there now). Especially in high tier fractals. I think Zealot’s will be fine for mid and low tier fractals.

Actually, in higher fractals it’s exactly the opposite. People are glad when a healing druid enters. You either play Viper or Healer there (fights take much longer than ZerkMeta can handle – you can’t survive through Aegis and dodges alone). Berserkers rock in lower Fractals where no one needs healing but are meh due to high toughness values of mobs higher, yet people ask for them regardless.
Plus – it’s perfectly fine to have Berserker armor even in Raids if you fill the rest with healing trinkets. You technically just need Rune of the Monk, delicious rice ball food and around 800 healing power from items.
almost the same stats as the build posted above with slightly less crit chance and damage but far less expensive to craft and much more versatile since you can easily swap trinkets to change your role. I didn’t change the build at all, just the gear, i think it also loses a bit in power but you can change the amulet to zerk and make up the difference and still have as much healing power as the other build.

I am no fractal-expert, so Hans I would go with Tragic Positive considering fractals.
I recently asked some other people if a healer druid was popular in high tier fractals but told it was not. Learned something new today
Thank you guys, I have learned a lot!

I’m no expert, either.
I’m more of an observer or analyst. With the latest update to how daily fractals work – people want to go for the long ones and those are a pure nightmare if all 5 people are glass.
Reason why people always search for nothing but full DPS is because more than 1 support is an overkill (or some haven’t woken up from Tyria content yet). It’s worth mentioning that while full DPS ele can pull out 45K dps, Berserker Ranger’s top is 18K. That’s frankly less than 40%.
You might as well make sure that everyone stays alive and deal 30% more damage.
It also takes much longer to find a party capable of finishing the last-tier fractals composed of 5 glass people.
