Plus drakes to blast a water field, add clarion bond and we’re op.
It’s also part of the game to come up with clever solutions for shortcomings.
Give the Ranger the daredevil, the Guatdian the Druid and the Thief the Dragonhunter. It would fit much better.
Great, because what thief definitely needs is more traps!

At least all of the DH’s traps are better than thief’s own traps..
Also thief doesn’t has a 1200 range weapon yet.

The fact that I posted this on the Ranger subforum should be indication enough that the thief is not my primary concern.

Please don’t fool yourself. The primary purpose the pet currently has is dealing damage.
Also, the “support” these pets grant is really weak.
And please, never ever try again to argument for the pet with “shortcomings are part of the game”.
Why would you give the Guardian the Druid, when Guardians can already build to heal/protect as much as a Druid can?
Because for exactly that reason. Guardians can already heal and privode other useful utility while doing so. Another healing specialization would synergise very well with the base profession. The Ranger can’t heal his allies, he is of all classes who are able to provide healing support the worst.
Furthermore, the Druid hasn’t much synergy with the Ranger. If you play the Druid as a healer, what second weaponset will you choose? There is nothing that would benefit the Druid and there is not much the Druid offers that would help the Ranger.
Yes this is a crazy idea. The idea of the specialisation is to give the class another way to play it. That’s why the dragonhunter is selfish, reaper is melee and druid is support.
I love the druid concept for my ranger. with some fine tune in could be one of the most fun class to play with.
The Reaper has many interactions with the base profession, many traits and many waepons that work well for both the base profession and the specialization.
The Druid has a hand full of traits that interact with the Ranger at best. The Druid is almost a completely different class, it even adds a new mechanic that has nothing to do with the exsisting mechanic. The Druid doesn’t fit the Ranger because you can’t play both as Druid and as Ranger, you just can play as one of those.

Hey, the Thief Traps are rectangular while the Dragon Hunter Traps are circular. That is definately something new for the Thief, just like giving the Scrapper flying Turrets.
