They just can’t. I switch to one in dungeons because unlike melee pets they don’t spend as much time downed. However, I’ve never gotten one to successfully revive me; it just scutters over to my body and stands there.

Perhaps because they don’t have tongues?

I’ve been using scorps every now and then & I know they licked my wounds before, maybe 2 times since release, but it sure is a rare occurrence. With that said, we could list pretty much all pets, because whenever I desperately need Lick wounds to work, it almost never does.

My Bears seem to like the taste of me.

They seem to never fail me.

How peculiar, my shark can’t get enough of it. He cuddles me back to life every single time…

For me it’s on land where Lick Wounds fails half the time and my birds just land on top of me to watch me die.

I’ve gotten devourer pets to successfully “lick wounds” on occasion, the ability itself is horribly bugged though, and fails no matter what pet you have.

I’ve found the only 100% way to get “lick wounds” to work, is if your pet is downed when you use it, thus reviving your pet who then revives you.
