Traps (not Ranger’s, obviously!) seemed extremely OP in the Beta.
If they still are, they should nerf them, rather than buffing Ranger’s to be equally OP.
Traps alone shouldn’t be able to kill a fully PVP geared (i.e. Soldier’s), level 80 player, in a couple of secs and that is exactly what they were doing.
There was terrible skill lag at the time, so people weren’t able to do a lot of mitigation; but, still, it was ridiculous.
Of course, it could have been an exploit, IDK?

Well, that’s obviously a fair enough request, then.
I’m running this roaming trap bomber build with trapper runes (not indicated in editor).
and it’s strong if played alongside your team. you put out huge condi pressure and cc, and get out. it’s not a 1v1 build, but survivability and mobility are quite significant.
traps do need some minor buffs. such as stunbreak and a bit of additional utility like boons or boon stripping.

still think our traps need more direct damage , Dhs test of faith can eat off 1/3 of a hp bar without the pass through effect , while it takes a Frost trap and fire/poison or spike trap (traited at that) to deal 1/3 hp (2 traps plus condi application) with everything else we have going for us damage while , the dh traps are better over all.
so i’d like to see spike traps direct damage improved and have the cooldown lowered closer to test of faiths 30seconds and damage values , so we don’t need to use 2-3 traps or have to Take hidden barbs+trappers expertise just to make them viable.
