Guild Wars 2

That’s right boys and girls! Hit diamond last night, getting my last three blips in stronghold. All but the 10 wins for 2 other classes was on druid. The competition in that last tier of ruby is brutal! So I decided to sidestep it and do what I do best, healin’ skritties!

My first match in diamond we lost 398-500, but got a blip, lol. The level of play in this division is amazing! I am very happy to que into games knowing how competent everyone is. It is surely going to force me to get better. Definitely no plans to push into legendary though, yikes!!!

EDIT: These que times are horrible though. 20 min for stronghold before I abandoned hope. Guess I need to find some friends to que with.

gz druid bro! i got to diamond too soloQing with druid only (well 2 wins on necro in amber). very fun, strong and versatile build to play. and yeah, ruby was super fun to play, had excellent, evenly balanced, hard fought matches for the most part.

Play the same build but i run Sick em instead of stone signet. I know in the SoS is probably better but pet spikes are too much fun to pass up

Well with aura sharing and the regen and prot uptime as well as the super speed, tempest can easily carry a match by making doorbreakers extremely difficult to kill, especially in soloq. It’s becoming more and more common for a team to just 5 man rush in the beginning and unless your team is built to stop it(unlikely in pug) you can’t do anything about it and the game ends in 3 minutes.

I read, I believe, was your opinion on what classes were best in stronghold.

After more than 3 losses in a row, I quit playing that crap.

After reading the article, I got the distinct impression druids had the ability to carry a team in stronghold. Well I can’t carry plebs.

Sure I can keep the lord alive for as long as it takes for them to actually Focus Fire me. I’ve even rezzed the lord and brought him back to 75%. That’s pretty impressive but the high dps classes, the reapers are just much stronger. There is only so much dmg I can take.

When you say solo, do you really mean a full team or a duo….and not actually solo q’ing? lol…cause solo is just luck of the draw.

It’s not just tempest. Face a team comp of Reaper, Reaper, Revenant and Scrapper and you will lose on points alone. The offensive push is too much.

It depends on many different things, but tempest literally carries bad players.
