What if druid ISN’T the new elite spec for ranger?

While they did say that Rangers would have a druid spec during the reveal at that PAX or whatever it was, it wasn’t set in stone, and things can change before a release as anet may have decided to go in a different direction. Since they have yet to officially announce the elite spec for rangers, who’s to say Druid is the guarantee?

After all, everybody assumed Thief would get a rifle and some kind of ‘sniper’ spekittenil they dropped that daredevil whammy on the community.

What if the Ranger spec is that fiery hammer wielding chap (From that release video)? what if it’s something else entirely?

Thoughts?

Anything is possible, I guess…

I’m 99% sure that hammer will be engineer spec but who knows maybe they have changed the plan on ranger’s.

They mentioned “Druid” like in every other PAX or POI.

But then again, they had the nerve to nerf Frost Spirit to have a 10 sec internal CD back then. And the nerve to stealth-nerf all the spirits.
And sneak-nerf traps with removing the range targeting.
…
And so on. So a low punch like releasing something different is, after all, possible.
But the chances of us getting the druid are close to 99%.

The difference from ranger and thief is that the last wasn’t announced by Anet employees that the weapon would be a rifle, it was just player speculation since the beginning.

But yeah, anything is possible until the moa hatch haha

It’s going to be druid.

Source: A dev who worked on druid at PAX. No other info was given except for the fact that they are excited about it and it’s going to be great (according to them).

What else would you call it? They could realistically give it any mechanics and still call it that.

Why should they show the druid in a video and call him druid, while the real druid is wearing a hammer in the same video?
