I always find it curious why people say Axe isn’t a good BM weapon… Axe/Dagger may be -the- best BM weapon set out there because you can keep them permanently snared…

In somewhat competitive play…
Splitblade is extremely situational to land with a beastmaster build.
Snares are nice, being able to bunker with BM is better.
Its a nice concept your aiming for, just not terribly effective.

A 3s chill isn’t typically very devastating.
I’d be more worried if splitblade had a much more obvious animation.

The issue with splitblade is that all they need to do is keep distance to decrease dramatically the effectiveness of the skill, and the whole keeping distance part goes hand in had with kiting the pet.

In tpvp axe is more effective because people are forced to fight over points and they can’t just kite as well without risking a neutralized point.

i used double drakes for a stronger teamfight presence, as their pressure on downed targets is amazing. furthermore the blastfinisher and their durability are a great addition, you can also easily line up the f2 ability with muddy terrain. and muddy terrain, bonfire and drake f2 on a point is just so much pressure – it’s not as strong in 1v1s as it is in teamfights though.
i’ll keep experimenting.

That was a great video! I was roaming in WvW the other night looking for some soft targets to take out and ran into a few folks dueling. Instead of attacking (like most do), I asked if my teammate needed help just to make sure it was a duel or not.

It ticks me off when I have a great 1v1 going against someone and then some scrub runs into the fight.

Oh, and for the Guardians? Try playing a bunker Ele and going up against a bunker Guardian. Now that is a long, boring fight.

Yea, I should of honestly editted out the Thief vs Ranger part simply because it was boring.

I mainly made the short movie cause of the people at the end.

I’m a solo roamer. My best moments are when I come across another roamer and we both one of us isn’t leaving the area alive. Those epic 1v1 fights is the only reason I pvp. I hate it so much when someone comes along and ruins it by jumping in. I don’t mind if someone from the 3rd realm joins the fight and turns it into a free for all, but if it’s someone from my realm I wanna kill them myself lol. 2v1 isn’t fun and it makes me look like I needed help when clearly I had it under control. Usually at that time i just back off and let them 1v1 rather than 2v1 someone. Person on my realm then dies and proceeds to message me asking why I didn’t save him… But that’s part of the fun of world pvp I guess. Anything can happen, anyone can jump in and there really are no rules.

I’m collecting movies right now …I’m thinking that I’ll be able to finally get upgraded movie length on the 14th, if I do..I’m going to make a very long movie.

Though I’m doing a podcast this coming week and they wanted to use some of the video in it.

One of my favorite fights though in the new movie i’m working on is Me vs an Elementalist vs a thief.

The Thief is like POed from earlier when i killed him so he’s basically stuck on me most of the fight while I chase the bunker Ele Around, every now and again I turn around to attack the thief so I can drop him quickly but he gets away..I eventually catch the kitten ele though and get her…Was a fun fight..

i think my favorite fight that I recorded so far is me vs a roaming ranger. You can see he clearly wanted to run away, but had to much pride to. You see him in the video when he runs away and then keeps coming back to finish the fight. And then finally at the end he doesn’t even bother to run to, he just takes the stomp like a man. I liked it so much it was the first and only video i took time to edit and add effects to. I’m happy when I can get such a good 1v1 that goes uninterrupted because I record so many fights, and never use it cause at the end they always get interrupted.
