Good evening Rangers! I’m writing to ask for an advice; I find frustrating loosing almost all my downed fights, and I think that the problem is that I haven’t found the most profitable combination between my actions and my pet’s.
I mean, should me and my pet attack the target? should I attack the target and let my pet heal me with F3? Or the opposite? Is this situational depending on the class i’m facing? Thank you!

Ok first things first, send your pet in and start trying to heal, ESPECIALLY if you have Circle of Life traited ( so many times I’ve rallied cause of that thing), if you can’t heal via 4 then throw your dirt like a madman, if things are looking good for you keep your pet on the enemy and keep hurling dirt, if your health starts nearing the 25% mark fake calling your pet back to heal via F3 and hit 4 most players will waste their interrupt on this, swap pets and hit 3 and unless you’re fighting a warrior (auto loss unless you got lucky as hell) you’ll win the down fight, or if you’re highly unlucky and up up between a downed engi and a wall….

Mesmers are the exception, you want to avoid using downed skills at all costs unless you have your pet standing on you rezzing.

Btw, NEVER use your interrupt unless its to stop a cast or finish someone, it does a good chunk of damage (especially if you’re power) but that interrupt potential is much more useful than the damage.

PS: I’m assuming you’re talking about Downed vs Downed, If not please clarify.
