Hi there,

Am i crazy to think that both Grandmaster Traits on Nature Magic, shouldn’t be mutually exclusive?

The ability to make spirits follow and giving shouts regen and swiftness, are both very usefull supportive tools, but we can chose one or the other. Don’t want to comment on unofficial leaked updates.

I’m not even sure, allowing spirits follow makes them that op, in some cases it’s even unadvised to bring spirits unbound since they die so quickly, having them in melee range is prohibited.

I totally agree with you.
Since day 1 I created my ranger back in octobre last year I am dreaming of a decent support build for WvW. But I just cant make it happen to deliver something ‘outstanding’, that makes people say: ‘Yes, thats really cool, lets take a ranger into our GvG or our roaming group!’ Instead you get: ‘wanna log to your Mesmer? we need more XY..’

on the official developers forums they stated that there are going to be some major changes to the way rangers can support on the octobre 15th Balance patch. I guess we’ll just have to sit and wait what they will do. They mentioned ’Nature’s Voice to be looked at.

But I’ll put out the call again: if anyone has a viable, unique support build for Group WvW rangers, I would be glad to hear about it! for my knowledge is very limited!

Ha, no it’s not. Expect:
- Fern hound and Moa area of effect increased by 50.
- Brown Bear “Shake it Off” now removes 2 conditions from allies.
- Sic ’em now applies 5 second reveal on next pet hit.
- Ranger harpoon gun range reduced to 900 by default. 1200 traited. (Ranger spear should now be better)

Followed by a post in the Ranger forum:
“I know we promised changes to weapon*s*, but we ran out of time and had to limit ourselves to updating the harpoon and the spear. The pet system is quite complicated and these changed took us a lot of time to implement and test for all possible situations, so they wouldn’t become too powerful. I’m sure you all understand. We feel the Ranger is in a really good place right now.”

Followed by a post from Chopps:
“You guys need to stop complaining, these are some serious buffs. I always run level 46 fractals with my fernhound and the increased range is definitely going to help. I think some of these changes might be too powerful. The brown bear’s F2 was already great, but now the effect basically dubbled. It’s like having two F2 skills. Ok, the harpoon got a bit of a nerf, but who was fighting at a range more than 900 anyway?”
