This actually worries me a lot, since they seem to plan to start with Druid reveal, so will we get 40min to 1 hr talk solely focused on Druid like other classes in PoI? They have to cover so many information in 2 days…Specially on 1st day seems tons of important announcements. Will we get the treatment same as the stream about major trait changes? “Oh, Druid, there are cool things! Interesting! Now lets move on.”

Very possible that we’ll get 30-40 minutes of show time. Intro may be 15 minutes. Then druid showcase for 30-40 minutes musical performance for maybe 15 minutes or so. Then adventures in GW2 for a solid 30 minutes. Then they get the live stage at 3pm EST for 15 minutes. They have plenty of time from 1 pm to 3 pm in order to dedicate a full 30 minutes slot for Druid.

I have no reason at all to believe anet cares that much about ranger to devote a 30 minute segment on a live, major platform. We (the ranger community) is a small part of the audience. Anet wants to get on with the goodies, hence start off with the druid reveal to get it out the way quickly so anet can get to the actual stuff the majority of the audience wants to see.

Just because its TwitchCon doesn’t change a thing. This isn’t like PAX or E3 or what have you. This is basically an excuse to boast about their game for a several hour long marathon.
People who haven’t played GW2 yet might really be drawn to the druid or ranger class so yes, they want to show how awesome it is.

We are actually the most popular class in GW2 in terms of almost everyone has a ranger, so changes to ranger will affect a significantly larger amount of players (whether it’s their main or alt) than it would the ele or Mesmer.

I’m stating that very few ppl are tuning into TwitchCon strictly to see Druid reveal…. ya every ranger main is extremely excited and wants to see it but I highly doubt people are gonna turn off the stream after druid is revealed…..There is a LOT more impactful things to be revealed than an elite spec, which is why the druid spec is scheduled to be released first…. anet wants to get it over with asap so they can get on to the main attractions of the show…

They’re anxiously prepping their QQ and training their vocal chords to scream “NEEEERRFFF” just in case there’s a hint that Druid might actually be pretty powerful. First priority for everyone else is to ensure Druid is not OP. The other content comes second.

That is just completely ridiculous. By the time the week is over, they’re going to give us the same amount of information and they did for the rest of the classes to think otherwise is absolutely kitten.
Whether you like what they reveal or not is another matter, but we will have the same information that we did for every other class.

It’s probably something like that. Not counting the Revenant, since it’s a completely new profession, every other elite spec but the ranger’s has been revealed in order of how the main professions are displayed on the profession page of the website, which you can fine here. First was the mesmer, then guardian, and then necromancer. Ranger was meant to be the forth. However, we can more or less asume that it was delayed and moved to be revealed last. It’s likely the initial concept design they had for the Druid was giving them problems, so it either would take more time to complete or they had to scrap it and start from square one. Maybe they’ll enlighten us to the details, but I’m not holding my breath. Either way, the fact that the Druid’s reveal was delayed can be taken both ways, but right now all we can do is speculate and hope the extra time was put to good use.

Edit Regarding druid, I’m trying to contain my hype. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it whatever it does, and I can’t wait to see what tricks it brings, but since I can’t watch the reveal I’m trying not to let it consume my every waking moment until I do see it heh.

BTW, I went ahead and looked for it. The first couple classes DID get a third party release… on the exact same day that anet put it on their own website. So… yeah, third party, but not in advance or anything. The day before business came a little later.

U basically used show start time from EST time zone and main stage show start from UTC -7… Do you even math bros?
Show starts at 10 am(utc-7) (1 hour from now). Main stage show starts at 3 pm(utc-7)… It’s FIVE kitten hours. Druid will get detailed longo poi-like reveal.
