Guild Wars 2

So, after having a full day to play Druid, I have to say, it is AMAZING. I love the way it looks, the way it plays, and Arena Net keeps impressing me. That being said, while I am loving it without a doubt in PvE, in PvP I haven’t exactly gotten comfortable with it. This surprises me because I primarily play PvP and WvW (the only reason I PvE is when a friend asks me to, or if I need money for something).

So, I’m curious, what are your guys’ thoughts on the viability of druid in PvE compared to PvP? are you having a really good time in PvP, and if so, why? what build are you using (perhaps my build is the problem, I’m running a shout/glyph druid currently)? I’m just curious if I just don’t have the “feel” for druid in PvP, which would be unfortunate, but I still love my base ranger builds so it’s not that much of an issue.

P.s. Maybe the new pets will make me enjoy it more. smokescale seems like it’ll be really strong in PvP!

I primarily PvE, but I do help my server and friends out on WvW. If you looking to solo camps or small group camps and towers as a druid, you going to hurt the overall damage output of your friends and the glyph that empowers is not even helpful to them generally.

That said, after trying Druid in WvW, I’m hesitant to take it to PvP cause I feel like it would be the very reason the team I’m on loses.

Druid is meta in pvp. In a good organized group Druid is dominant. Only when team dont know how to play team, and leave you in a 2vs1 situation or worst to guard a point by yourself will things go bad. Otherwise Druid is Meta. The burst heals are out of this world. Druid can keep Stronghold lord and Fae lord up from heals until allies get there to handle the situation.
