Key points:
-Staff skills and damage are very “MEH”
-The only purpose of staff is to charge up for Celestial.
-Celestial heals and support are WAY better than anything staff has
-Troll Unguent and Healing Spring charge up for Celestial almost as fast as Staff
-If “dedicated healer” is going to be needed, then the goal for Druid will be to get into Celestial form and spend most of the time there.
-When heals are not needed, the Druid should be contributing damage and making sure Celestial is charged.
-So far, there is no time to switch weapons. You spend the majority of time in Celestial, pop out, charge up celestial, maybe blast a bow 2 and then back into Celestial.

Outcomes
-For most situations, whatever build you were using previously will still work. Just replace one trait line with the Druid Elite line.
-Use Troll or Healing Spring to charge up Celestial before battles and when exiting Celestial
-For weapons, either keep what you previously used (since staff is weak), or pick one weapon, and have the staff just in case you need an emergency charge for Celestial

Overall Outcome
-I think the Druid elite does achieve the goal of making Rangers/Druids more desired (maybe only in some situations)
-There is potential for many different builds and “variations” on playstyle.
-But….. When healing is needed, its pretty much going to be " f5, 3, 4, 2, 1, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, 3, 4…… 6, f5, repeat…… or something like that"
-When healing is not needed immediately, then you dont really have any utility other than I guess you can take some stress off people by popping random heals, and maybe the glyph that raises damage 33%.

Not 100% true, the staff is very cool. Its got great mobility skill on 1200 range weapon so the kiting ability is reay. Its true the 1 and 2 skills need better damage(in the demonstration they had exellent damage) and the staff 4 is kinda hard to use so it needs much better reward for hitting, like better damage and longer imoob, mybe somthing more.

i’d like to see some conditions added to staff to be honest, cause it fits the druid thematically… i like the ideas of the staff redux thread – maybe burning damage on solar beam and bleeding on the vines…
Or exchange one of the healing skills (skill 2 i’d suggest) for a non-healing damaging skill alltogether since the healing skills are too similar

Tried Druid with Clerics gear at first. Seems like the scaling with healing power is pretty bad.

Tried using Soldiers gear after with much better results.

Staff 2 need a buff.

AG should remove Roots and movement conditions.

Staff 4 need longer duration and better cripple effect. maybe a Bleed as many have suggested.

Staff 1 need its healing scaled better with gear.

But likely there already is a buff to scaling in new build.

You have no clue what strong means. Literally none.

We need DPS meters in this game so these lies can stop.

Staff auto does virtually less DPS than greatsword (which is already pretty terrible), and only more than axe autoattack (which is the worst autoattack in the game in coefficients).

The only good things about Staff are skills 3 and 5.

I ran full ascended zerker druid and you could virtually kill things faster by using PVT armor instead and a shortbow.

Staff does horrendous damage, and negligible healing. It’s like the guardian staff, but worse because at least the guardian staff heals for something wortwhile and tags targets while being a worthless damaging weapon.

Staff has good sustain damage. The very fast attack speed and instant damage means enemies cannot escape it easily. Couple this with Wisp leap means enemies cannot escape you ever.

You have no idea what strong means.

I agree, the staff needs to be more multi-purpose.

2 is just not worth casting because it’s so slow. Feels like an inferior version of the auto.
4 needs more damage, it’s hard to hit with so it should feel rewarding when you do.
5 is really hard to trigger, I was using it more for the water field than projectile defence.
