I was just wondering what good looking gear/dye combos where out there for ranger. I haven’t really seen a set that i love but some pieces of different sets look cool. Also i’m working on Kudzu, if i can ever get the precursor, and was looking for a tree hugging rangery look.

BTW i’m asura

My charr is wearing duelist upper and gloves, thief starting hood, shoulders hidden. Leggings and boots are badge skins for 10 and 5 I think. The dye is “slick oil”, gives a nice leathery look I think. Not sure how it would look on hoomins or an asura though.

Here’s my asura as well, although he’s a thief. The gear is outlaw upper with leather gloves, rawhide leggings, anonimity hood. The dyes are midnight fire and stone, and antique gold for the belt buckle and the hood thingy.

sylvari t1/t2 mix is awesome if you can, really goes with the tree look. Go t1 chest/t2 shoulders,gloves,boots. I would link but i dont have the time sorry!

I personally like the armor you buy in WvW with badges (minus helmet). I dye with Midnight Ice + Blood dyes and use those fiery gauntlets you get from the achievements chest.

The Whispers armor is also pretty rad in white IMO…

I think the hellfire gloves are a heavy skin.

For armor:
Go to heart of the mists, check the PvP locker, preview all you wish, use google to find out PvE names, GO!

For dyes:
Open up BLTC, filter consumables, search “dye”, preview all you wish, GO!

Note that there are over 400 dyes in game, so depending on your budget you may want to filter by quality (blue=practically free,green=cheap, yellow=medium to expensive), also google is a great tool.

If this helps at all, some dyes that I’ve commonly used as filler or on things I simply didn’t know what else to dye are: Tarnished Steel, Ash, Charcoal, Mudmetal/Rawhide, and Cocoa.

My Sylvari ranger wears mostly TA armor with the Anonimity Hood and uses the Invaders Longbow and Axe/Horn. For dyes I like Envy, Emerald and some lighter colors from the green spectrum to break it up. Definitely a tree-hugger ranger type. :P

They are indeed labelled as a heavy skin, but you are not prevented from applying them to a medium glove in transmutation and the result is a medium gauntlet.

On laptop, attached image is pretty low quality… but you get the idea.

Iron dye is my main mixed with stone , silver and ebony
