Well, let’s argument. 4 pets would be a lot and when you are skilled enough at managing them, they barely die.
Standardizing CD on F2 won’t help for anything. I would better see something like shout are channeled skill instead of cast skills. So a a 3 s cast time fear for 3 s fear become a 3 second channeled fear that apply 1s fear every second.
Swap CD, Cast time on F2 and cool down on F2 have already trait that do the Job.

Tie 2 pets to each weapon swap. When swapping weapons, the pet will be swapped too without cooldown but it has the same percentage of remaining health as the pet before.
F4 could be either global or local for each set
Having the same pet for two sets, e.g. Jag/Spider – Jag/Wolf, will not cause the *Jag*uar to be swapped to the same Jaguar if the Jaguar was the active pet.
Guess what, I ran around with a zerg today and none of my pets died while I was close to the commander. I barely had to swap them
I think people miss what I was saying as it was not well worded.
You would have ONE pet out at a time
You could swap pets on 10 seconds vs 20
Instead of only being able to swap between 2 pets it would now be a 4 pet rotation.
The key concept that may or may not be missed is the idea of being able to effectively pull off 4 F2 effects every 40 seconds (essentially one every 10 seconds).
And, moving to 10 second pet swapping makes a huge difference in “on pet activation” traits (might and AE vigor).
Yeah, having 4 pets out at a time would be nuts.
