Hi, I’m planning to do map completion with a ranger. Anyone kind enough to share an efficient build to do map completion ?

I’m thinkin something like GS fire/air. Utility with a lot of shout and swiftness on shout.

If you’re talking Core Tyria map completion, just about anything will work.
You can totally go traited shouts and get near perma swiftness for getting around. You could also just slot Signet of the Hunt for a passive speed boost and run whatever else you care to play around with. Add in a single stun break and you’re golden. Though I would suggest a ranged weapon on swap.

HoT maps are tougher. I’d suggest going either for solid CC application or solid condi depending on preference.

Lastly, spirits are probably the least useful thing to bring for map completion. Otherwise, go nuts.

I’m trying to speed run it.

ANYTHING does not work if you want efficient and fast. So silly when people post that.

My build is:

Full zerkers with scholar runes
GS Fire Air
LBow Fire Air

Use Cats/Birds
Healing Spring
Hunt SIgnet
Renewal Signet
Stone Signet
Strength of the Pack

Marksmanship: Mid Mid Low
Beastmastery: Mid Mid High
Survival: Mid Low High

This build gives you:

1. Good damage at range and close
2. Good ways to open fights (Massive Vuln or Swoop)
3. Good ways to close fights (avoiding lingering conditions)
4. Constant, passive Runspeed boost

Remember, your fighting mostly trash so no sense in buffing your long term damage skills. Stacking short bursty attacks are best. Rotations as you think of them in dungeons, etc … are not relevant.

Probably zerker GS + LB for speed runs. RF will nearly kill anything in one fire, then swap to GS to clean up with maul and swoop to the next target. Or if possible LB autoattack clean up and then double up on swoop with QD. Might be able to put in staff instead of LB as long as your kill speed is good enough. I suspect that would work.

If you have druid I’d take natural stride. Quick draw is a must. Rest is pretty irrelevant, I’d just use the fractals build as a base.

Edit: Was bored and made this.
