So I have been using the following to great success:

http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-J;4sEFx-r2VEV-0;9V12;1Y_b;0157147237;4aFZ8V-X8m9fgm9fgu-F34-BEDoMOK-AU04Ad29fo_0D01k-B;5sV91;9;9;9;9;4k;4VZs5C

This is primarily a small team fight or roaming build for WvW. It has constant poison, fury, swiftness, and regeneration, as well as a lot of damage through SB + QZ, SB + Pet Swap, and SB + QZ + RAO (or SB + Pet Swap + RAO).

Chose chill pets for the constant weakness + chill. Bird is the DPS pet, and Wolf the CC pet (as always).

To be honest, I feel I can go toe to toe with most specs with this, other than the current broken ones.

I also have chosen a very hybrid build. Generally I know that is discouraged, but here the ‘jack of all trades’ really seems to fit. I’m still fine tuning the accessories…the celestial one in particular is in use as it was a WvW drop (and I’m cheap).

Finally, Rune of the Traveler is a must here. Not only for the boon duration, but also because it frees up a slot. I tend to switch out sharpening stone for something else depending on what I am doing (Guard! in particular if I’m the only one trying to run a Yak).

I think you would get more from skirmishing line then marks. Opening strike spam on shortbow and sword isn’t that amazing. With multiple cripples and chills is a 10sec cripple on 30sec recharge that amazing?

I like to pair it with the shortbow cripple, although you could probably swap Enlargement for the extra stability below 50%.

Opening strike is good now because vulnerability effects conditions. The survival skills give fury and RaO pulses it, so you are constantly getting the effect.

I did try Skirmishing, but I find the entire line underwhelming. It relies way too much on bleeds, and I don’t find LoF or QD to be super useful.
