To gain more survivability and make rangers less locked into spending 30 into WS, I suggest that Empathic Bond is swapped as it is with Hide in Plain Sight.

Hide in Plain Sight can be buffed to have a place as a grandmaster trait with either shorter CD or made into a Stealth.

Empathic Bond is not fully a cleanse because conditions are transferred to our pet. That include immobilization, chill and cripple which severely limits the damage output of the pet. In some cases, heavy damage conditions are transferred and it forces the ranger to swap his pet to avoid the one minute cooldown. It might be that the pet was a Wolf with much needed fear which can’t be used because a swap was required, a Moa’s screech that now can’t be used or a Spider’s venom that would have helped with kiting.

Empathis Bond is not a trait that only improves the ranger because the player also accepts the fact that the pet has to be swapped if there are too many conditions.

That’s my 2 cents to it.

Sounds good to me if they make camouflage stealth.

How about “when you stand still for 5s you gain stealth for 10s, Xs CD”?

In my short career of posting ideas I’ve learned three things:

1. Nobody reads Ranger forums except of Rangers
2. If you want to post an idea and see the response, post it where Devs tend to post. Currently : Game Discussion Overall and General Spvp subforum.
3. If your post gets moved to Suggestions subforum or you’ll post it in there :
-Nobody will ever read it
-Nobody from ANet will ever respond to this
-You will feel like you’ve just waisted hell lot of time
-It will drown in a flood of mounts, races and hentai suggestions

Your suggestion is quite good tho, OP or not depends on stealth duration and ICD. No matter what it is an investment deep in WS.

I also thought about prysin’s suggestion but I didn’t want to suggest something that basically requires making a new trait.

Only problem with Prysins idea is it makes it fairly useless when caping points, can’t cap while invis.

thats the downside. Although, i think the “activation timer” should be something like 30 seconds at minimum. To prevent all too easy get-aways in WvW/PvP. Ofc, capture point contribution will not work

one of our “f” buttons should have been dedicated to this stealth idea instead of pets…
