Endgame Ranger PVE Help Please!
I’m going to tell you now why no one has replied back to you. There are literally thousands of guides out there, not only on the forums here. I suggest you look it up, read them, and make your end game build based on the information you get.
theres really only two choices for rangers since our traits are so lame at the moment, i mean you can spec how ever you want and still work for dungeons, since you really have no idea how much better everyone else is or how you are actually doing, but I played condition spec (spam traps!) up until about a week or two ago, its very effective, and kept you busy, but recently i shifted more towards short bow single target /piercing, but regardless, both of my specs were 30/30/5/0/5 , i just changed the traits around depending on what i was doing, i was also full rampagers while i was using a heavy condition build, but i’ve been slowly replacing my rampagers with berserkers, just for more steady damage basicly, but they are both by far viable for pve.
I’m really unsure what a ranger PvE build would be as well. I stack berserker gear and hang out wayyy in the background and spam with my longbow. I probably do more damage than anyone else, just don’t ask me to revive you if you’re in melee range.
Longbow range is so far that you end up avoiding boss mechanics most of the time.
Whatever you choose to do, first thing, go to the TP and buy a set of yellow magic find armor. You can even get sigals and runes to boost your magic find and gold drop rates. That way, you get more loot while you’re farming dungeons, Orr DEs, and dragons. Salvage all 70+ yellow loot drops to get globs of ectoplasm. Sell everything else to merchants. That’s what I’ve been doing the past week. Even with limited game time, I have over 10 globs and triple the gold I spent on my MF gear.
Also, remember that dungeon and karma sets are based on looks. You can buy or loot or craft exotics with the same stats. So it might be worthwhile to find a set you’re interested in, obtain similar stat items, adjust your traits, and see how you like it. When you find what you like, then you can grind for that set.
