Q:

Dodging removes blindness and poison from you.

Blind.png Removes blinded
Poison.png Removes poisoned

recharge 10 sec

i like this trait i really do but i was thinking combined with empathic bond or survival of the fittest or even both. it has no use i mean for example i am suffering bleed poison and weakness
when lets say empathic kicks it removes those 3 right? so if i suffer from chill next . my trait would have been canceled .
i don’t know if you guys get what i am tying to say can’t really explain it well. i rather have evasive purity remove a 2 condi instead of 2 specific ones.
having specfic condi removed every 10 sec with empathic bond i don’t know. if i thinking it over its kinda strange. i have been using evasive for while now and fight condi necros is always a pain the kitten because my condi removal can’t keep up. and always asking myself did just got 3 condis removed or 4 or 5. my eng kinda sucks hopefully some one gets what i am mean. it looks to me that evasive sometimes isn’t used because empathic removes 3 and if 1 of the condis happens to be poison or blind the trait is kinda wasted.

I think if you gave evasive purity just blanket condi removal on dodge, that would make it worthy of a GM trait. Combine it with energy sigils and empathic bond, it would stop most condi builds in their tracks. It’s an interesting change, I never liked how it removed blind, because blind isn’t really hard to remove anyway. But if it were ever changed to remove 2 conditions on dodge (it would probably me knocked down to one every dodge) then I think it would be a GM.

Evasive Purity used to be a grandmaster trait and it used to remove 1 condition on dodge.

It was then nerfed to only remove blind and poison and it was then later moved to Master tier.

To be honest I really like mechanics which remove specific conditions from a design perspective.

The problem this game has is either you have more condition removal than your opponent has application and are virtually immune to condition builds, or they have more application and you are pretty much dead before you start. There is very very little inbetween space. Having condition specific cleanses makes it much easier to balance because a build can be very strong to some types of conditions (like a Acrobatics thief is to soft CC) without being a complete hard counter to all condition builds.

It also promotes a little more interactive play because people think about their cleanses more than just spamming them off CD (take for example LR, another condition specific cleanse).

Obviously since EP is a passive trait you don’t get this interactivity, but I still think these conditions specific cleanses should be a much more common part of many skills, and big general cleanse-anything skills / traits should decrease.

mm, well I don’t remember much from the beta. Although I didn’t even know much then either, just 111111 spam bearbow back the beta days. Regardless the key word here is used. 3 condies on a dodge is pretty strong. I can understand one on a dodge being a GM, quite similar to warrior’s brawlers recovery. But three would just cancel out any condi build.

The statement is only true if 2 players can cleanse and apply the same type of conditions but different amounts.

Just because someone can apply more bleeding than I can cleanse, doesn’t mean that I will die. Dodge rolls can fully neglect any condition and other skills too.

It’s not 1+1=2 because skill comes into play. A good player knows their cleanses and will make sure to have poison cleansed before healing or notice tells and evade high damage skills, amongst other factors.
