Last time I tried to post a bug on the Main bug list, they ignored it.
Last time I tried to post a bug on the Ranger bug list, they did away with the Sticky Post…

So here I am trying to put out some major bugs that should be fixed ASAP (in order of importance)

Tests were all in Heart Of The Mists

1. As of the the June 25th patch, ALL pet conditions do not show their “ticks” but the effects are the same.

2. Concentration Training: Seems to me like it is not working at all. Tested it with Fern Hound, Red Moa, Blue Moa, and Raven. After that point I assumed the same results with the rest of the pets. Read from multiple sources (not many people care about this trait so it was hard to find) that it is a 50% increase?? No matter, because it doesn’t work.

3. Red Moa specifically: Furious Screech grants 15sec of fury to nearby allies. Using 4 Superior Runes of Rage (20% Fury duration) and 2 Superior Runes of Citadel (15% Fury duration) and with the 15% boon duration from trait line; I’m looking at a 50% Fury duration increase.
Using the skill SHOULD net me the 22.5sec of Fury…right? Wrong. I was still getting 15sec of Fury no matter what. On top of this, the tooltip says 17.25sec of Fury. WTF??

So now try to imagine if bugs 2 and 3 worked…100% Fury duration increase???

4. The Bird’s Skill: Quickening Screech grants swiftness to nearby allies for 10sec. Tooltip says 1200 range; I’d say it is a range of 500 when in combat.

Now I’m not sure if this works with other pets, such as increasing the regen duration of the Fern Hound’s howl using the combo above. So if you want to test other pets please feel free and come back with results.

Unfortunately your pet does not get your boon duration so the effect of your runes and nature magic is not added to Furious Screech, this is working as intended.

Oh, so even though the boon is on me. The source says its from me. The pets’ boons won’t be increased? I figured any boon I got (from myself or the pet), the runes and trait line increased it for me only. Very strange.

For any condition or boon it uses the caster’s boon or condition stats not the receivers. So in this case the boon is cast by your pet using its boon duration so your runes don’t come into it. It also means conversely that is you use a warhorn to apply fury to someone else they would get the effect of your boon duration not theirs.

Okay I understand now thank you very much for clearing that up.
Another question, Concentration Training supposedly increases the Pet’s boon duration by 50%. Why don’t I get the increased boons from that as well. Still sitting at 15sec Fury. Not 22.5sec Fury.

It does work, but the trait only applies when you’re in combat, just like Spotter.

I’m replying to an old post, but unless things have changed…. “Concentration Training” does in fact NOT work. I tested it more than once while in combat with my Red Moa. I waited until the Spotter trait activated and then I attempted to cast the moas fury buff. It only lasts for 15 secs.

It works. Your pet must be in combat, not you.

Can you explain the pet condition damage ticking? Does it just not show up or is it dealing no damage?

Based on my tests, the pet conditions still do damage, but numbers don’t show on screen. You can test it yourself
