Even though arrows aren’t as “alive” as I’d like, I figured this would be a good example of arrows hitting well beyond their range(although, in this example, it’s also an example of vertical terrain).
This guy was AFK in the Jumping puzzle up on the entrance ledge, so i point blank’d him into the water, then decided to just screw around with the immobile guy.

I took this photo to show the chest at the JP, so you can see that I’m all the way at the top of the JP, and he’s way down in the water at the bottom, yet, my arrows are still able to hit him.
It’s a mix of arrows falling downward and an example of arrows going far, far beyond the 1500 range… there were alot of people discussing this in another thread, so I figured why not post a pic.

This is also why bows are way better than rifles… just sayin’

I’ve noticed that vertical distances can increase your range somewhat, I’m not really sure if bug or feature, but it’s kind of cool sometimes.

Arrows have “bodies”(physics/collision detection), so they often hit things beyond their supposed range because of collision contact. That said, there is some kind of strange hard-cap on how far they will hit something. After certain ranges, they just tend to stop existing physically, so, even if they touch something, it doesn’t hit.

I’d sure love to see a dev comment on how exactly ranges are factored, because it’s pretty hard to predict when your arrows will actually hit something or when it will simply say “out of range”.
