F1 Function
Can only say that goes down as another “what were they smoking?” moments. This patch was really not thought out.
dont forget, the f1 is also used to switch targets mid fight. I use f1-f3 constantly to switch targets and get better angles for Pet4’s and f2’s

Agreed. This is one of the things I really dislike about the patch*. Having that red text constantly appear on screen is annoying. Especially since I developed the habit of pressing F1 then 1 since I keep my pets on passive half the time.
Edit: changed a word

Nearly ontop? Really? Little exaggerated maybe?
But yeah it’s a little annoying, but seeing as how I only really PvP with my ranger now I’m not noticing it that much.

Let me put it another way then —- if I need to essentially be within weapon range to direct a pet to attack my target, what is the point?
which of your weapon has 2000 range?
I’m honestly more annoyed that the f1 skill doesn’t always work with inanimate or boss objects.
I run with a lynx and a devourer. My slow hitting devourer is super okay with hitting anything… inanimate objects like doors, gates, supply crates, etc. to animate massive objects like Tequatl and the Jungle Wurm. My kitty? HA! You tell her to hit a door and she looks at you like you’re joking. I suppose this could just be a cat thing, but… really? Why won’t the f1 skill work sometimes with some pets? (and this has been tested by standing still, so the range was the same for both pets)
Aquatic pets, also, don’t attack inanimate objects under water. Amphibious will, but aquatics, pfft. Never.

I’ve noticed this too, not to mention that aquatic pets will also refuse to attack anything near the surface
