[FIX] How vines should work
Elite skill is fine. 60s/48s is actually fairly low cd for elite.
Maybe the vines should get a bow and cast rapid fire too while you are at it.
Sounds legit. People hacking away at 15K HP vines will definitely bring in more eSports views. Anet’s gonna love this idea.

I think the skill is pretty decent as it is. A bit hard to land, so the animation could be a but quicker, and the cooldown a bit shorter. Also, some additional thing to apply to pets when using staff skills (general request).
Anyone care to explain what “Number of Impacts: 7” actually means?
The bleeds/immobilize/dmg pings.
The vines could be improved for atleast the elite skill. But how to do it? If some gets truly caught by this skill and isn’t able to break it they are screwed. Most other immobilize skills last less than 3 seconds. Then on the flip side there are enemies that this is a complete joke. How to balance it out could really be looked at.

7 individual AOEs that can hit up to 3 targets each. Think of it like Revenant Hammer Coalescence of Ruin or Berserker’s Longbow Scorched Earth.
Edit: On topic, though. Vine Surge could use an improvement but not by much. Increased duration of the immobilization to 2-seconds is a start, but I’d also opt for a radius increase.
Currently, it’s 7 rectangular AOEs approx. 90 units wide x 160 units long w/6 10-unit gaps between each impact. A slight boost to the width from 90 to 120 would make this a bit easier to hit (I guess).

i still think a few stacks of bleeds in 600 radious for a 60 seconds cd elite is not enough.
15k hp is not much, its the same as bristleback has and we all know how fast that pet die.
with the “you have to focus in the vines for a second if you want to get free” and poison application this elite could actually be called “elite”.
about esports argument… this game need to balance many things before consider to be included in that category.

221 hours over 1,581 days of bank space/hot pve/lion’s arch afk and some wvw.

so we can have some sinergy with the new trait line, to trigger ancient seeds.
