Guild Wars 2

Greetings, fellow players.

A few days ago, I had an idea of trying out seemly nonviable Melee Power Ranger. (Truth be told, I was bored to hell and wanted to try something new). I didn’t expect anything out of it, I just wanted to have some fun in hotjoin.

But after I was able to win against a DPS guard, a d/d ele, a Fear spam Necro, sometimes even cought at 50% hp – my head melted and I felt the urge to try it in unranked arenas. With very similar results.
This is my 3rd day I’m testing it and of course I have my good and bad match-ups, but I see the potential in it.

I started with Berserker Amulet, but then felt like swapping to Barbarian was more viable. Here is the build I’m currently using (unranked):

Pros:
~Powerful Roaming possibilities
~Extremely tanky
~Can escape with little health
~Huge Healing spike (3 leaps, 1 blast; leaps do not hit the field all of the times tho)
~Loads of on-demand condi-cleanse
~Team-fight viable
~High Tunnel damage potential
~Pet is more effective since he’ll stay next to your target even on passive – easier control

Cons:
~Almost everything is on-demand (no more faceroll passive cleanse or regen spam), track off cooldowns is mandatory
~Doesn’t have a true burst spike
~Doesn’t have stability
~Needs smart use of abilities for situational purposes (e.g. Sword *2 for enclosing the opponent)

So while I know the build has flaws, I really do amazingly well with it and felt like I’d share the build with the community to hopefully find and perfect a viable Power Build into the PvP environment.
I’d like to encourage any Melee Ranger Fan to try it out and help me improve it. Any criticism, ideas, opinions are very welcome.
