So ive never really played a ranger, i like the medium gear and the gameplay looks fun However cant decide between these two racer, wich one should i pick and why?

I had the very same decision to make when I decided to try out ranger. I ended up going with Norn female, since the culture and the their veneration of animal spirit totems just seemed to really fit hand in hand with ranger and upcoming druid. I’ve really come to love the Norn culture/areas as my favorite in the game.

Female norn walking animations looks dumb. That’s why.

Human. If you start messing around with high evasion builds, norn size and animations won’t cut it.

So you are saying female norn wont perform well endgame?

It doesn’t matter, unless you wanna be REALLY good at PvP, then human because of the animations.

But both females have the same animations? Or is it the size? Anyway i dont PvP at this point and if i did I wouldt hardcore it :P

if you use longbow keep in mind they are bigger on norns. My zodiac bow is bigger than my norn and i maxed her height. looks pretty bomb

That sounds really cool Also i kinda like the lore behind the norns combined with ranger theme, think ill go for norn babe

If you want to be really good at PvP you’ll use the option the normalize the characters anyway, so everyone will show as a human no matter your race.

Asuran because one day you might decide to get into WvW and they have a huge advantage. They also have the best animations.

I said what I said because it is easier to judge positioning on certain races/genders easier than others which allows for a higher efficiency in jumping using sword 2 or gs 3 not because of standard character models.

No… go for female Asuran.. epic cuteness and jumping animations..

Almost all my characters I created during first year of the game are norn chicks but I eventually created new characters for my fav classes in human/sylvari or asura. Lovely curves are awesome and all, when in combat tho, some skill animations are just weird or you have to take into account the animation might look bigger than the actual skill range.

Oh I see. I agree.
I’m just so used to play a Norn and a Charr that my position referential is set to big characters, I have an asura thief and I’m a total failure when I go melee, that is one of the reasons I go p/p with him to be even more of a failure as a thief haha.

If you don’t have an option and have to choose between those 2, roll norn female.

Better armor options, better starting pets, way better voice (non high-pitched and annoying girl. Unless you want to sound like a teenager, though), absolutely better animations. Better weapon holding, better attack GS attack animation.

And you’re slightly less copy paste. And better human overall.

Go with the shortest female norn possible, for (imo) obvious reasons
