Fighting a MM.
Save your weapon evades for Rigor Mortis. Most decent MM’s save their immobs so that Golem can rush/ plant staff marks on you. Entangle can buy you time, but make sure to take care of bone minions before that since they can easily destroy the roots. Sol suggested something cool with the Shortbow, that using Piercing Arrows can ease the burden of having to deal with your projectiles being tanked by the meat shields; but on a trapper / BM Condi it’s kinda’ hard to spec that high in Marksmanship…
MM is a cheese build. Hopefully the Devs look into all the pet builds and realize that passive play is killing their “esport.”
If he’s running one, target and kill the Blood Fiend.
With Shortbow… You’re pretty much kittened. I’d suggest Sword Torch and Axe Dagger, it’s more reliable.
If player runs full MM, he shouldn’t be big issue. Remember, many take a trait which causes minions to draw conditions from master and his allies.
It’s all about setting traps, leaping through fire fields, evading and being in move. If you outlast majority of his minions, you should win.

Ah ok,
I’ll give the S/T A/D combo a try. And yes being able to outlast his minions is the problem: /
Would you recommend getting offhand training for the torch instead of Oakheart Salve?
Offhand training is amazing for any Ranger with that setup. It boosts your off hand skills reasonably. For trapper, I run 10/30/30/0/0

As a MM myself best advice I can give you is to kill the minions. If they are traited to be MM then killing all the minions will leave them, for the most part, traitless.I don’t remember how many traits go into minions directly. First two minions you want dead is the blood fiend and bone fiend, once ranged is done you can, for the most part, use the minions bad pathing to try and kite. Attacking the necromancer without killing the minions is normally pointless, because each minion make them tougher and will heal on hit.
Without alot of AoE the MM will probably win. It could be unfair, but it could also be a build that counters yours. I don’t pvp that much anymore, so I can’t really let you know how people would deal with me.
Best of luck to you
