Hiya, forum! My main is a Ranger and I think she kicks butt in PVE. She is nearly finished with her story and she has come a long way from being the Hero of Shaemoor.

However, I have noticed that I suck horribly at PVP. I have no experience with PVP whatsoever, except for a few unranked matches and loads of Snowball Mayhem, lol. I am thinking of using A/T and SB, since both work well for me in PVE. I like having a lot of mobility while in combat. I feel as though LB and GS take a bit too long to cast and cool down. By the time I move on to the next skill, the previous attack is cut short… Yeah, I have some bad memories with LB and GS. May I ask for advice from you all? What works best in PVP?

That is a link to the highest rated ranger sPvP build. The bunker Druid also works well. You focus primarily on pushing into most 1v1s on side nodes while also poking your head into other fights now and then.

I run A/T + shortbow viper druid for PvE, but I’ve found it extremely underperforming for PvP. I just couldn’t reapply high enough number of different conditions to significantly outpace cleanses. Not to mention that such a setup would make almost 100% of your attacks projectile based, which a warrior (and several other classes) would throw right back in your face, on a regular basis. In fact, when playing my bunker druid, I love seeing an enemy A/T + shortbow ranger (yes, I have seen some in PvP), because there is almost no threat of death on my part.

Bunker performs extremely well in a variety of situations, and with the right rotation you can actually notch kills as well. I highly recommend it.

The same things that work in pve won’t work in pvp.

And pvp isn’t solely about fighting. Map rotation and movement are needed, a/t Sbow will not give you either.

Watch some streamers, Rom is one the best druids in pvp.

Condi based druids are not ideal in the current meta.

Any build not using a staff is starting off at a deficit.
