Finisher combo
combo finisher is added on Sword 2 – part 2
check your melee weapons.
I think you should look at other weapons beside shortbow.
There is leap finisher on sword 2 and greatsword 3 and 5 second whirl finisher on off-hand axe 5.
The only thing we lack is propre blast finisher, we are dependant on pets for this one.
We can hardly claim to lack a finisher when just about everything we fire is a projectile finisher and both our melee weapons have leaps on a short cooldown.
My entire PvE is built around taking advantage of our combos – thrown frost and fire traps along with healing spring for the fields, LB for projectile stacking and GS for leap, GS4 thrown is also a 100% projectile finisher.
Trait for traps, drop a firetrap onto a mob and unload the longbow on it, and you’ll see some serious DPS. And unlike 100blades this can be done on the move, from range. Being able to throw the GW2 equivalent of a Molotov kittentail every 12 secs is one of the better pve utility skills in the entire game. And we have frost as powerful as a staff ele, but with the finishers to actually do something useful with it.
Water + leap is a surprisingly potent heal. Leaping into a frost trap will give you about 3secs of frost aura, which any ele will tell you is a quite a powerful defense when outnumbered up close.
Combos are one of our strong points, and in dungeons we are top tier (with the ele and necro) for field generation; but you HAVE to be a trap ranger to achieve it, and that’s the problem.
Our only useful skills are traps (traited 30 into skirmishing) and survival. IMO if you’re going into a dungeon without warhorn, traited frost and fire traps then you’re doing the team a disservice.
Spirits, signets and shouts simply do not match up to other classes with similar abilities and that’s where we need the love, to give us a better variety of viable builds.

I might be wrong here. But it looks to me like the Op used poor word choices, and instead of “finisher combo” meant an “execute” type skill. You know, something that has increased effectiveness when a target is near death.
We have LOTS of combo finishers. Lots. No one can be that oblivious right?
Why? Gives needed gear…
Why do you need this gear? To do dungeons… duh.
