Fire Aura
Will definately experiment with it. Too bad the traits to increase trap effectiveness are in the wrong bloody tree though.
Tips:
- Frost Shield stacks duration when you reapply it… so apply it back to back to back and have 10+ seconds of frozen fun.
- Flame Shield refreshes duration when you reapply it… so wait a few seconds between leaps if the field lasts long enough.
- Drakes will do a Tail Lash when they try to attack a target just barely outside melee range, so you can set it on a trap and get AoE Frost Armor from them once you get the knack.
- Drakes doing a tail lash will grant AoE 3 stacks of Might on a fire field, and with Concentration Training this increases to 30 seconds (sometimes Concentration Training doesn’t work if the pet wasn’t in combat when it started the skill.)
- Martial Mastery reduces cooldown on leaps for more bubble fun.
- Off-hand Training reduces cooldown on Torch skills, and makes the fire field larger.
- It is possible to have both Frost Shield and Flame Shield at the same time.

I have never had this experience. I think you should retest.
I’m not wrong. When I mouse over it after finishing a combo that takes a few seconds to execute, it often has 8-9 seconds left on the duration. I would show you, but time remaining does not show up on basic in-game screenshots.
