RANGERS! WOOOOOo. Literally every other change is a QoL change for various classes. They nerfed ss by 50% damage and made it so the field is no longer on demand. Why am I not surprised?

The damage nerf was totally justified. The switch on the skills? Absolutely the WRONG decision.

A 50% damage nerf was not justified at all. Now bristleback does pretty much the same damage burst, but with half the cooldown. Smokescale should have only lost 25% damage at most.

I honestly don’t mind the overall nerf to it. I’ll just go back to using drakes/wolf/kitty I suppose. Its more the fact that once again there was a HUGE CHANGE to the functionality of something for ranger because it was effective within a matter of hours/days as a knee-jerk reaction. I’m sorry; that’s getting really kittening old at this piont. Particularly when there was 0 other effective balance changes since the launch of the expansion.

One beta test weekend, what did you expect? Miracles? Dancing ponies or bears on beach balls? We got what we deserved – be glad nothing else happened.

The F2 skill swap makes zero sense.

Bristleback has a longer channel that can be interrupted and the pet has no CC and way less basic attack damage with a bad F2. So now it’s a bit more in line with Bristleback but still better?

Really? We deserved to lose access to the all of the reasons to bring this pet?(blind/invis & burst)

Nothing else? How about the revamp to how AF generates on druid/additional cd/decrease to overall base healing.

You’re right… making rangers a real threat to people in pvp and highly desirable in pve? What were they thinking!?! Better nerf it into the ground.

Just do what I did and swap to Revenent.

Then there is not much reason to complain. We have seen what Rangers have been like for the past 3 years, we have seen the strange nonsensical reasons why they nerf us, we have seen that everytime Ranger manages to rise up it gets cut down again, we have seen how they will lie to us about the nerfs, we saw how they handled the Druid reveal, we saw the absolute joke that was the druid spec, we saw it only had 1 BW so there was no chance it would be finished by launch.

If you want to play Ranger you will have to play with a broken class the devs don’t care about. If you don’t want to play with a broken class the devs don’t care about then you don’t want to play Ranger.

So now we have to put the Smokescale into combat and be at the mercy of its AI in regards to when it places the Smoke Field (which is most useful being used outside of combat)?

…I’m not big on the negativity of the Ranger forums, I think the doomsaying is massively exaggerated a lot of the time, but-… What…?

CAF got totally gutted and made the extremely clunky to use. I just don’t get it.

removed all ascended gear from my 2 rangers and made them storage mules, today. all that saved bank space feels good.
