Well done with doing that with longbow + shortbow.
I’ve yet to commit to a longbow for anything but sieges and some parts of dungeons, though I am still testing it in various places from time to time. What has you using it?

I like the idea of using distance as much as possible and sheer stubbornness, Its how I envisioned my Ranger when I read up pre release and was determined to find a setup/suit/playstyle that would allow it.
Its always a work in progress but all of it has led me where I am now so I guess it’s working =)

The Ele bailed when she ran out of D Toys, I had started hurting when she split. I Ignored the scaled guy as the 80 was the only threat. Don’t be fooled I down plenty 1v1 and 1v2..
Well in this situation the two decided to let you keep your elite up for whatever reason. Generally in WvW Rangers have a lot of room to run around making it easy for them to kite.

I was somewhat surprised that they were dumb enough to let your spirit stay alive to heal you. I’d have gunned that down and then tested your tankiness … my mesmer would also be removing that lovely regeneration/vigor from you.

Sharing my silly omg-rangers-hax-woah-I-just-reported-you-moment from sPvP. I’m running a condition/healing power BM build in sPvP and my pet killed this warrior (hundred blades hero) guy few times and he got very mad when he couldn’t get me down. I swapped pets around and he still continued whining over my pets doing double skills…
I can’t watch it because you probably put some music in it and it got blocked but let me guess, you’re fighting against some upleveled non-burst dudes?

On another note… I love it when people complain about the rangers, but don’t know what the real problems with them are lol.
Using the right build, with the right gear, with the right player help s a ton with playing the ranger (a little stubbornness helps a bit too ).
I’ve found that a longbow/great sword setup works well for me, although not in all situations lol (I have a hard time targeting Mesmers and Thieves since they disappear so often, and auto-target seems to favor clones that are barely on my screen for whatever reason =/ ).
That ele though…. how can you miss so bad with so many AOEs =_=’
