Glass Cannon Build needs some input
Also – I do have the AC Greatsword (Also Power/Prec) and Ghastly Longbow in inventory, but have not used them much in WvW (my main place to be nowadays). Longbow I switch to for keep assaults and defense, however.
If I were you, I would use signet of stone instead of wild, use sword instead axe.
Practically, if you lucky enough, your 1st burst SB+QZ(most likely based on your build) can take 1/2 HP of your target. Don’t expect your pet can do any damage in a long range coz they never did.
Then if he run, you just have nothing to do unless you have pet with immo(so don’t start with birds). If he heals and come to you, you will be in danger now coz you can barely last few seconds too. switch to sword pop stone and melee him, switch your birds this time and its F2 (yes pet’s atk land much better if you melee) plus your 2nd burst with sword will give him a big surprise.
So in this case , you don’t need double stability but a true 6 sec invincibility.
Also axe is good for condition build, for your case, sword will be better.
Although all the negative Ranger posts don’t do much to cheer me up about my class, I am a very casual player and don’t have a lot of time to level alts.
That said, I am looking for a little help on rounding out this setup, mainly weapons and bar abilities. Here’s what I run so far. Armor is full set of CoF Power/Prec w/ full Rune of Ranger set. Accessories, Rings, etc are mostly Power/Prec/Tough.\
I’d also like some help on rotations. But any feedback on anything is welcome.
thanks

Rune of thief +10% damage flanking or behind = love.
It gives you +10% skirmishing behind + 10% thief +10% when endurance full and covers a 180 degree arc. The battlement dance = alot of backs, the ebb and flow of a large conflict = alot of backs. Choke points equals flanking position options.
I’ld switch primal reflexes in for companions might.
I’ld add in at least 1 ranged pet arrow shield. A devourer. Because they take relatively stable positions they are easy to stand behind preventing anyone without piercing from damaging you. Guard as a talent can also turn a pet into a ranged damage bulwark for you in stand offs.

A whittling ranger becomes viable by forcing his opponent to whittle
I thought about doing 30/30/5/0/0/5 but Im not sure, atm doing 30/25/0/0/15. Deciding if I like it or not, I might even do 30/25/5/0/10, just gotta see if 50% endurance regen is worth taking over 5 sec off pet swap.
