Glyph's are backwards
You actually bring up some good points about Glyph of Tides. However, I’m not sure how I feel about making the pull default outside of celestial form. I really like the idea of the knockback over the pull, in general. It has strong uses for escaping and for kiting if you decide to keep the bow. However, if you decide to swap the bow for a melee weapon then the pull is better than the knockback, I guess.

If you have the bow you already have a knockback. The pull would be great for setting up a MoC maul, pulling people into bonfire/traps, or pulling them point blank to get off a good splitblade. Heck you could pull everyone in close to make sure you hit them all with a taunt and some other pet CC while dealing your own damage.
I am looking forward to the rage in WvW when rangers (druids) knockback the enemys out of the cordinated bomb.. Now rangers can be hated even more and not only for lb4

I doubt it will find its way onto many skill bars in WvW in its current form.
The only place I’d consider using it is in pvp to knock people off point….. But I doubt I will because it is so lackluster. It needs to be a stun break, or give protection/stability or something.
It would be amazing as a 600 range pull in WvW. Leap into an enemies back line while they are being well bombed and yank everyone into the middle of it.
