I’ve seen looks of different builds, but not much using a Sylvari.

Would Seed Turret or take Root be a good skill to keep, in place of some of the others I’ve seen with prior non-Sylvari builds?

I’m assuming you are rather new.

The answer is that your racial skills are pretty weak and not of any real use so you don’t need to worry about if you are a sylvari or a charr or norn etc.

The berserker PvE build that will be most useful for your ranger (in dungeons) is the meta build by Brazil.

Most racial skills are (rightfully) weaker than the generic skills. The only use of sylvari racials I can think of is the immob utility for tar, coupled with entangle. I guess the Take Root elite can be useful when training for lupi solo.

Summon druid spirit is pretty strong in some circumstances. It has good immob spam which makes it useful for tar and if you are a guardian you can get pretty good vuln stacking with it when traited for binding jeopardy.
