Guild Wars 2

My team was having trouble clearing graveling mounds in AC p3 as a full-ranger team. We switched to other professions such as necromancer, elemenetalist, guardian, and myself as engineer, and we were finally able to breeze through it.

My question is what IS the proper strategy for a ranger to use in AC P3 for Graveling Mounds? What pet to use? What weapons? Thanks!

…why don’t you guys carry spare weapons? i alwayse carry 1 of everything …

anyway…

litterally take a greatsword and sword and place a combo field where you’re standing and hit it till it’s gone…

Barrage + Greatsword weapon switch make short work of the burrows.

unless you are relying on broken mechanisms (ele frost bow, engineer mortar and what not) we actually have it quiet easy to take them down compared to others, you just have to know that you wont hit the mounds when standing still, barrage and then just strafe left-right while hitting it with gs. Thats a bug every class suffers from.

In terms of pets;
The River Drake’s ‘Lightning Breath’ is still very strong for AOE required situations, not to mention Drake’s do an AOE auto-attack.
