Greatsword sigil question
Night is typical for dungeons but that won’t help much in WvW. Maybe strength + bloodlust would be a good combo for both roles. BL is great for WvW and GS is used for killing trash in dungeons, so you could still have 2 sigils on your sword/wh swap.
If you use LB and plan to stack bloodlust, then Bloodlust and Intelligence.
If you don’t plan to stack, then Intelligence and Hydromancy.
Imo, the guaranteed maul crit is too delicious to pass up.
Both of those sigils do literally nothing in dungeons though, and he said he has high crit naturally so intelligence isn’t even very good for WvW.
I main lb and use gs for bloodlust stacking. my second sigil is Leeching for that 1k hp/dmg. But that’s just me.
If you like zerker then sigil of flame/air are good.
For max damage you could go Sigil of Air and Sigil of Fire. I personally mainly use Longbow, so I have these sigils on there. I use Sigil of Energy and Sigil of Bloodlust on my Greatsword.
I would recommend sigil of intelligence if you are using moment of clarity because it gives just enough hits for swoop + hilt bash + maul. I have a 50% crit chance and I still use intelligence because if maul doesn’t crit, it usually won’t be fatal. The other sigil I run is battle, but bloodlust and hydromancy are also good choices.

Hydro and intelligence is about the worst possible choice for PvE. The one that stacks healing power would be worse, but not much else.

I’m going to have to disagree. 3 guaranteed crit is huge for PVP when you’re glass and trying to maul. And dungeon PVE is LOL, you can do it even without any sigils or runes. It makes no sense to center play around that unless you expect to farm 24/7 and you have to have that extra 5 mins shaved off every run for multiple runs.
If you’re running zerk, you’re suppose to drop someone asap. Nothing is better than that aside from air/fire. But those are better used with LB.

Or we could just suggest a sigil combo that works in both environments…
OP should be able to make up his own mind with all the suggestions anyway.
I have ‘Force’ and ‘Air’ on my Zerker GS (PVE, and Glassbow) and ‘Generosity’ and Precision stacking on Celestial (general purpose roaming) and ‘Water’ and ‘purity’ on my pvt (exoitc) for zerging.

If you thing killing upleveled and people running zergy builds with your full optimized roaming build is a true matter of skill, then we’re both speechless. Pve, www, and pvp all call different capacities, and looking down a game mode because you don’t like it is silly.
@egg, Just out of curiosity, why use celestial with a GS? You use traps or something in combo with it? Hmmm… could stun/maul people as they burned.

I have a ascended celestial every thing, as i run a big variety of builds and experiment a lot so i don’t want to be limited by my gear also it seem to me to be the most future prof. When i made it i was pre-crit damage change so celestial gear on weapons on high crit damage.
when I’m roaming my GS is often the alt weapon for moving around and deference so the offensive stats are not that important. whilst i don’t use traps that much, sometimes flame trap, i do use sun spirit often. Between pirate runes and hyenas you can keep it up almost permanently.
All in all no big main reason just lots of little ones
Im currently running a Cav/Zerk trinkets ,
when i do use my gs , i have Sigil of Force + 10% vs knockdown foes.
combined with two-hanned training for a 20% boost.
then also i run 6 in Nature magic for onther 5% boost while having a boon on you (always in WvW)
then I also have Runes of the ranger (7% crit damage while my pet is alive)
10% from stready focus
sigil of blood (sword)
sigil of Strenght(horn)
as long as i finish them with the sword its all good, main focus is main Gs sword after.
i dam well make sure he don’t enter Aoe Zones , if the commander pushes i stow it before the push and only use it when im forced into a skirmish fight away from the Head of the zerg.
though this can be annoying i can’t pass up that 7%damage bonus ether.
42% bonus total not too bad when its combined with my current 190% critcal damage. in WvW with Dragon candy my crit hit sits around the 60-62% mark with spotter.
for zerging i drop my LB for gs / S+H and use Sword + hunters call to stack might fast , then escape or move into a Maul combo with those might stacks while providing water splashes with swoop and Warhorn blast.
4,0,4,6,0 , marshal mastery, Two-hanned training, Sotf , wilderness Survival, Steady focus and spotter.
but this set up is for All out Tanky Crit Dps/ chase Pressure.
the base Dps will be lower than normal so the might stacks only give me about 9 self Sustained but its enough to boost it to 20-22 with zerg support and carful warhorn blasting of firefields.
