I don’t expect any balance changes, but what about fixing sine of the crippling bugs we get to deal with? Like pets straight up not getting their attribute increase that was supposed to happen last patch?

Is it safe to come back to gw yet out should I keep playing games with devs that give a kitten ?

Nope they were too busy breaking WvW to fix the ranger bugs, give it about another 6 months or so.

While it WAS a fun class for me, its completely ineffecient compared to other classes.

Rangers are mediocre at everything, great at nothing, terrible at nothing. Just flat out mediocre.

I know that feeling.
Had it when I switched to ele and i was floored by how versatile it was. They could die in a heartbeat if you weren’t careful but my god it felt good playing such a class with fluid rotations and fun, skillful gameplay. None of which ranger has.

It sucks, but its reality. There will always be a class in this game where everyone just says “yea, that class just sucks and others do it better by a mile”. It just so happens that its been ranger and to some extent, necros lol.

Its been 3 years, I expect no change from anet, history has shown me anet can’t figure out this class.

Had great moments with the ranger, truly, but i’m so glad i switched classes.
Its an eye opener thats for sure. Rangers are severely outclassed right now. and thats how majority of the ppl see it. I’ll be SHOCKED if the expac brings life into such a lifeless class.

I’m a stubborn son of a gun and gosh dangit I hate to lose and more than that I HATE TO QUIT! I don’t want to quit playing as a ranger. I don’t want to play another class because in my eyes that’s giving up and admitting defeat. I created my ranger because that’s who I am and that’s what I understand. I’m a man that’s been passionate about archery for over twelve years of my life. It’s sad to see the Ranger in such a poor state from my perspective. It’s like the developers are saying, “You and the sport you’ve invested over a decade in are not important. Archery is laughable and you should be ashamed.”

I don’t want to play another class, but what else can I do? I wouldn’t even know what class to play. I don’t relate to any of the other classes like I do my ranger.

Fixed your title. If it takes any effort into playing then its not worth it and needs a buff. I have 0 problems as a lb ranger. The only problem i have is against d/d ele, warriors who pop rampagers and i cant kite (already used cds), and reflect mesmers. If your struggling against anything else as a LB ranger please put the time into it, or roll a different class. LB ranger has some of the most consistent dps in the game, paired with GS has the burst to finish off a enemy. So tired of the “RANGER NEED BUFF” posts. I would love a buff, but then all the bandwagon boiz would come to ranger and people would complain.

TL;DR – Put the effort into learning the build/class before you complain please….. (if you dont believe me find me in game. Padapwn.5924)

How long have you been playing? Funny I dont see you in the Pre LBs, and don’t count the current one for all we know that it got reset multiple times.

Did you read the opening post or just jump straight into your angry rant? The OP wasn’t saying rangers need buffs, he was asking if anet has gotten around to fixing any of the many bugs that were recently introduced. There is absolutely nothing unreasonable about expecting the bugs that hurt us to be fixed, especially since anet was so quick to “fix” the “bugs” that were beneficial to rangers.

He’s not wrong though.
Ranger is still my main and I have no problem killing people but mesmer is faceroll easy. Only thing he was wrong about is the stealth duration, you can stack way more than 22 seconds, at least twice as much.
I don’t play ranger because it’s the best class at everything, I play it because it is the most fun. That doesn’t change the fact anet screwed up a bunch of stuff recently and don’t seem overly concerned with fixing any of it.

See, this just shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

The issues with Ranger are not that it cannot win 1v1. Although, honestly, if you are winning 1v1s with LB in PvP, they are not exactly good players. LB is powerful vs scrubs but weak vs good players with meta builds.

We don’t need a buff to damage, we need a buff to everything else. The issues are pets are pointless and we have no usable team support or specific role. If LB/GS was good and just needed people to put effort into learning it, it would be everywhere in Tourney play, because it is super easy to play and range is a nice advantage, but that is the only one it has and it’s not even that big an advantage due to the amount of mobility other classes have.

Yeah they work, you can create one and play one run dungeons and even kill enemies!

I use my pets sparingly and only use them for the fear/kds/aoe immob.. Ya i agree pet needs buffed.. I dont have a problem with anything on ranger atm other then pet dies WAY to fast, specially now with the damage buffs to every class. Again, the only builds i struggle against is D/D ele (no chance).. warrior that has wasted my cds and pops rampage.. and reflect mesmer (rarely see good mesmers running this).

Ya you will get blown up by a mesmer or thief, but all it takes is map awareness. If they get the jump on you your dead.

Also you forgot everthing the ranger has is supbar to other classes.

Just take a look at our shouts to other classes

high cd, hell we even have 85 second cd shout. Does not offer that much compared to other classes.

Signets? Same deal 80 second cd Signet, Endure Pain is 60 seconds and a stun breaker.

What else? Traits.

Condi Cleanse on a freaking tree competing with each other.

Traps? Meh.

Everything is basically a “Made In China” mentality.

But you do agree with me on what I said right? I have no problems in casual solo q ranger shenangians, but when me and my team plan on joining the tourneys, It is so hard so make a build centric team with the tools we have.
