If the area where the event occurs (Orgath Uplands) is not held by my Home world (Northern Shiverpeaks), then I would be fighting other players as well. No?
Any advice?

Thanks. Fortunately, after a reset my Home world controlled the area nearest the Orgath Uplands.

Not necessarily. You may run into other players getting to the event, but you’re not guaranteed to have to be fighting other players while doing the event.
