Hey a folks, I was on a site looking for a good pet to run for my healing build and it said the white moa had regen and an aoe heal..but when I got the pet it only had the aoe heal
..is there a pet out there with regen and a heal? What are healing/support rangers running for pets?
Thanks in advance!
Fern hounds grant 10s of regen on a 25 sec cooldown. You can also check out the Pig. Their forage skill will turn up a seed pod, an egg, and an elixer of heroes. Seed pods grow that tree that you see thiefs use when fighting rangers. It is a water field so pair that with healing spring and you can have high up time on water fields for your group to combo off of. The egg provides a burst heal for whoever uses it. Elixer of heroes grants invulnerability to whoever uses it.
Moas are the only pets that provide an aoe burst heal. Try Red Moa for the aoe fury (15 sec) and/or the Blue Moa for 3 sec of protection for anyone in range.
Under water, Jellyfish have a water field, as well as a smoke field that you and party members can combo off of.
Just remember. If you’re looking to your pets for boons and healing, those boons and heals are based off of their stats, not yours. Pets have as a minimum, no healing power and no boon duration. Compassion training in the beastmastery line will give them 390 healing power, and concentration training in nature magic will give them +50% boon duration.
In all honesty though, in my experience, just running healing spring is enough a lot of the time. 50% uptime on a water field that grants regen and removes conditions. Roll with other players that have blast finishers, and thats a ton of burst healing for your party. I’ve found this to hold true in almost all facets of the game.
