I see most Rangers prefer not to use the longbow, but it has such fun skills on it..

Does anyone have any decent builds with it or a good weapon offset? I was either thinking Sword Dagger or Axe Dagger. Maybe Axe Dagger for team fights.

I was thinking something like this. I have -no- idea what I’m doing though. I was hoping for something a little tanky but with a little bit of firepower.

You pretty much have the right idea, if you look through the forum for anything titled 6/0/2/6/0 you will find different people option and there is a few ways of going about it.

this build is a good stock standard starting point. Change you amulate depending on desired tankyness a lot you survivability comes from traits and game play

Oh great! Didn’t know I was kind of close. Would it be okay to not use the greatsword? I’m honestly not a huge fan of it. I’m not sure.

I’ve been running a Celestial Sword/Warhorn and Longbow 0/6/2/0/6 power BM build for quite some time since the balance patch, with great success. It’s definitely not the most meta build out there, but it’s mountains of fun when you use Longbow properly rather than spamming your attacks when off cooldown as many seem to do.

There’s a lot of builds that LB works in, I’ve probably ran LB in kitten near every build i’ve come up with because I like the weapon (as a whole, but god i wish they changed somet hings!) too much to let go of it unless i absolutely HAVE to.

Your build, for example is very similar to another one i’ve ran, granted it was different, i believe it was. 6/2/4/0/2 or 6/4/4/0/0 i can’t remember which (probably the first), except that i took flame trap instead of sig of renewal and essentially wombo comboed them from stealth with a flame trap + SS + Split Blade + Crippling Talon + stalker strike and it’d melt kitten near everything unless they condi cleansed it.

Another build you may also consider is running 6/4/4/0/0 or 6/2/4/2/0 or even 6/0/4/0/4, all of which are able to be very offensive (I normally use zerker with them but knights and less squishy varieties should also work) but take traits to allow them to be slippery and evasive (normally through having a kitten ton of vigor).
