hello all,

I have been playing on my human ranger for a about 2 weeks now and finally made it to level 80. I’ve never leveled a character with medium armor before so i could use your guys help! I was wondering what the best medium armor in the game or one that you rangers prefer ( if there is one). I’m not that sure which armor is the best, never had a level 80 before and where and how do i get this armor. Also any good skins for medium armor that you guys know of?

What mode of game play are you intending on doing with it? PvE, PvP or WvW?

Um, so far Pve and WvW with this character. But probably more Pve.

If we’re looking at PvE your best option is berserker gear, especially for dungeons.

Opt for a full set including the accessories and place either Ranger or Scholar runes. Ranger is generally preferred due to the added precision. Here is an in depth guide with all the specs for each piece of gear:

The build may change a little to accommodate the upcoming update to some of the traits but the gear will remain the same.

WvW would be a different kettle of fish but fortunately for you traits are easy to change and gear is easily accessible, especially if you’re doing dungeons.

This gear is available in a few ways.

Armour/Weapons

• You can craft armor with 400 leatherworking. Weapons with 400 weaponsmithing and 400 Huntsman.
• You can buy it off the trading post
• You can attain it through dungeons by trading in dungeon tokens. The dungeons that provide the token that will give you berserker stats include: Citadel of Flame, Crucible of eternity and Arah.
  These are listed from easiest dungeon to hardest, CoF being incredibly easy.

Accessories:

• Can be crafted with 400 Jeweler
• Can be bought off trading post

Berserker gear consists of these 3 stats:
Power. (Main stat, in other words the stat with the most points)
Precision.
Ferocity.
Be sure to check for these stats when purchasing the gear so as not to get the wrong pieces.
