Your pet won’t aggression mobs unless you’re near them.

Which means if you have someone hiding in a Supply Camp standing next to the guards, You can send your pet in and your pet will not be attacked by guards while he beats on that said person.

you can also use this to kill Dolyaks as well next to guards in the Supply Camp.

There ARE perks to being a ranger. This sounds awesome. I gotta go try it out.

When they described the pet aggo work around I suspected something like this would happen. I thought we’d see pets kill bosses without aggroing them. I hope they can fix this without nerfing the the usefulness in dungeons (it’d be a shame to see pets aggro everything as soon as they enter combat as a knee jerk to this quirk).

I think the way it works is that the pet will only aggro the person it hits. If you send it in to attack Lupicus you will probably see it get face stomped. It still draws aggro from targets it damages.

I should probably clear that up..

If you attack for example a Veteran guard in a camp, it’ll aggression them all, If you attack the Dolyak, it’ll only do the Dolyak.

If you attack a Player, the Guards won’t defend that player.

I used it to kill an AFK Thief earlier, thought that was pretty funny

The flip side to this change, is that if you previously used your pet to draw the agro so that you could position yourself the the side or behind a target and make use of the crossfire bleed, you’re screwed. The pet now takes your previous spot behind the target and survives (a little longer), while the target instead attacks you head on nullifying your bleeds and previous ability to pass some of the agro onto your pet.

Revert or quick-fix short leash incoming.

This will be patched.
