[HoT] Adept traits too build specific
Not sure I can entirely agree because of how much better the selection will be on a whole vs the few adept traits worth taking now in the sea of crap rarely taken ever.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
Yes it’s even worse now, but since they’re doing a complete overhaul, it shouldn’t stay that way.
Every traitline should have at least 1 Adept trait that would work well with all builds. A good example is the Marksmanship line. Beastmaster’s Bond is a good general purpose trait.
Expertise training works well with any build because most pets apply conditions, it may not be the best trait out, but its far from useless. You can always pick your pet around having it too. Still a million times better than soften the fall, even if you were using canines, simply for the +20% duration.
Totally agree. Some traits are way to specific like you mentioned. Others like the falling reduction and revive traits are just boring. Who needs a spike trap when reviving an ally?
I dont’t agree with the poster above me. I don’t want a trait that isn’t useless. I want a trait that fits my build perfectly. I though thats the whole point of the new system. Less but better options.
If you look at the thief traits, those all seem to synergize well with eachother. Really a lot of options there.
There are only two builds, like there are only two stories in the world, power or condition and ‘the journey’ or ‘the stranger’. Everything else is a variation on that. If the trait fits either of those, it is viable.
Although I do agree, the revive and fall damage traits need a merge.
Don’t forget the 20% condition duration on Expertise Training! Gonna make Spider Immobs 1 second longer and both the Wolf fear and Drakehound immob increase by .5 second…!
